Behind your sun

Stood me in the darkness

While you gazed at the stars

I wrote you poetry by the moon

The eloquent wordsmith

And the universal goddess

Collided one sweet summer night

You in your white dress

How it tore my world apart

It exploded like glass

And to this day…

I have never been able

To pull the shards out of my heart.
